WHA Programs

WHA provides a wide range of programs and services aimed at improving the lives of low- and medium-income people and families in the Mamaroneck Area.


Housing Improvements

Since our creation in 1980, WHA has constructed or rehabilitated 115 apartments including 75 housing units for seniors. In addition, we have built 14 homes for first-time homeowners. WHA is currently actively looking for new opportunities to build affordable housing in Mamaroneck.


Tennant Assistance

WHA provides several supportive housing services including:

  • Eviction Prevention which helps lower income tenants stay in their homes
  • Landlord-Tenant Mediation which prevents displacement and homelessness

Community Services

WHA offers a number of services to the general Mamaroneck Community, including:

  • ESL classes for beginners and more advanced students
  • Computer classes led by experts to help residents advance their skills
  • Arts enrichment that exposes residents to a wide variety of art mediums
  • Homework Club for school-age students in the community
  • Summer academic enrichment which helps to ensure learning retention over the summer break
