On Tuesday, October 15, 2019, more than 100 guests joined the Washingtonville Housing Alliance at Modern on the Rails for the Ritz on the Rails fundraising dinner. More than $45,000 was raised for Washingtonville Housing Alliance’s work improving housing conditions and providing needed services to low- and moderate-income residents in the Mamaroneck area.
The Marzella Garland Award was presented to Malcolm Frouman, the president of the Larchmont Mamaroneck Task Force. The Rev. Carol D. Gadsden accepted the Good Neighbor Award on behalf of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
The Washingtonville Housing Alliance, formed in 1980, is a locally sponsored nonprofit that seeks to preserve and enhance the quality of life in the Village of Mamaroneck and the surrounding area. The Alliance constructs new housing and improves existing housing for low- and moderate-income residents and delivers supportive services designed to build communities.
